  • Are there any grants or other financial assistance available?
    Space a+Lu does not currently offer grants. However, I can provide you with a letter of support to help you apply for grants in your home country.
     

  • What are the living Costs & Budget, Artist Responsibilities
    Your residency fee covers your accommodation privat room / shared space.
    All other costs are the responsibility of the artist. Otherwise, the cost of living depends on your activities, such as trips and workshops. Otherwise, daily expenses like food and drinks are relatively inexpensive.
     

  • What are the arrival and departure dates?
    You may choose to stay for either 1 or 2 months, with the residency period running from the 2nd to the last day of the month.
     

  • Where can I stay before/after the residency period
    If your arrival/departure dates not matching precisely with the granted residency period, you can book and stay recommend the nearby Homestay, Pea Home
     

  • How do I get to the residency from the airport?
    If you would like a pick-up from the Da Nang Airport or Train Station, I can arrange this for an additional cost of 300,000 VND (approximately 12 USD).
     

  • Do I need a VISA?
    Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the length of your stay in Vietnam. Most EU countries require a tourist visa for entry. Please check the specific entry requirements for your country.
     

  • When can I apply?
    There are two open calls each year for applications.
     

  • Should I bring my own towels and bed linens?
    Towels, bed linens, water, electricity (only extra charge 50USD, if you require daily AC), and WiFi are all included in the residency fee.
     

  • Where can I find all the useful information about my stay?
    If you are accepted into the Space a+Lu residency, you will receive a detailed letter or email with all the necessary information.
     

  • Can artists apply with children?​
    Yes
     

  • Do I need vaccinations?
    Vaccinations are your own responsibility and personal decision. Please consult the tropical institute or health authorities in your home country for recommendations.
