The space a+Lu was created after the owner fell in love with a beautiful traditional Vietnamese house and wanted to share it with other artists. Understanding the need for free space, a good atmosphere, and inspiration.

Mission
Space a+Lu's mission is to create an open and inspiring environment where artists can explore, experiment, and develop new artistic directions. The residency believes in the importance of providing a free and supportive atmosphere where creativity can flourish, and new synergies can emerge. Artists are given the space and freedom to fully engage with their creative processes, fostering collaboration, innovation, and personal growth in a serene and stimulating setting.
Vision
The vision for Space a+Lu is to foster deeper cultural exchange by integrating local Vietnamese artists into the residency program. By 2026, the goal is to have half of the participating artists be from the local community, offering them a one-month residency free of charge. This initiative will create a vibrant exchange of ideas and creativity between international and Vietnamese artists. To support this vision, partnerships with organizations such as the Swiss Embassy, Pro Helvetia, and private art sponsors are sought, ensuring sustainable growth and enriching the artistic community.
